What an epic month March has been! It’s just been jam-packed with so many amazing things that I’m actually sad that it’s over. Spring is one of my favourite times of year, that feeling of newness and positivity is wonderful, so I’m so happy that March has welcomed the new season with huge open arms.
WHAT I GOT UP TO IN MARCH
The month got started with the first of what seemed like a continuous list of celebrations, Mother’s Day! This was my second Mother’s Day, but this year felt even more special because Aiden is able to participate more. I got treated to a day of relaxation and was wined and dined by my two favourite boys!
I was kindly invited by * to spend a weekend in a beautiful house in Dorset along with some other foodie bloggers and sampling the finest local foods and drinks. Many of the bloggers I already knew from online, but it’s always nice to meet them in the flesh.
We basically spent most of the weekend feasting and drinking (my idea of heaven!) which included a 3-course meal, an afternoon tea, delicious artisan pies from the , cheeses and local spirits and ales. There was also a tour of , learning about how to grow organic produce and face-planting myself in the scrummiest Dorset apple cake with clotted cream at their funky coffee shop on site.
Despite some horrendous stormy weather, there have also been some stunning fresh sunny days too. These have been perfect for my half marathon training. Although I haven’t trained as much as I would have liked I’m really looking forward to the event itself. Too bad if I’m not really because the Reading Half Marathon is this weekend…eek!
Admittedly I am slightly biassed towards March because it’s my birthday month. I treated myself to a pre-birthday manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax at my favourite salon. If you haven’t tried gel nail varnish yet then I highly recommend it – 10 days later and not a chip in sight!
The last weekend in March was in one word…magical! I turned 30 and my fantastic hubby made sure that I did it in style. He surprised me with a night out in London at The Ritz and treated me to a beautiful dress that I just love. I felt so special and had the best birthday ever, turning 30 feels amazing.
My birthday fell on Easter weekend, which meant eating lots of chocolates, an Easter egg hunt with my nieces and nephew and celebrating my niece’s 9th birthday – these kids really do grow fast!
I feel like I’ve basically eaten my way through this entire month, no complaints here!
Evening dress, Coast//Nova sandals, Jimmy Choo//Black bow bangle, Kate Spade.
It has to be the outfit that I wore to my 30th birthday at The Ritz! I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it and it reminded me of Sex and the City for some reason. I really felt like a million dollars that night!

FAVOURITE PRODUCTS OF THE MONTH
1. Pip & Nut Honey Cinnamon Cashew Butter
I’m already a massive fan of Pip & Nut*, their coconut and almond butter is to die for! When I was asked to try their new cashew butter I couldn’t wait for it arrive and it didn’t disappoint. It’s spiked with honey and cinnamon which is such a tasty combo!
2. Benefit They’re Real Mascara
When I went to buy a new mascara I actually wanted a YSL one, but there was no one on the counter, so I ended up spending my money on the Benefit counter instead. I’ve heard so many great things about this mascara and it’s amazing! After a couple of coats, my short ugly lashes are completely plumped up, curled and long.
3. Green People Vitamin Fix 24 Hour Cream
I’ve wanted to try this cream for so long and when my Neal’s Yard face cream ran out I decided to give this one by Green People a whirl. I’m so glad that I finally bought it, my skin feels so nourished and smooth afterwards.
