A little late this month with my April recap, but better late than ever I say. Last month was such a funny month for me for many reasons. It wasn’t the best month and it wasn’t awful either, just pretty standard really. My word of month was GROW and I definitely feel that I made huge progress in this department, making plans to increase my online portfolio and my blog and think about some future plans that I want to fulfill.
Easter was at the beginning of the month and I had a wonderful time relaxing with the cutest little Easter bunny in town and eating lots of chocolate. I really loved reading the Easter story to my little man and watching Easter themed movies with him.
For the majority of last month, the weather was stunning. We made the most of it with a family trip to the coast where we enjoyed playing in the sand, fish and chips and ice cream on the promenade before heading back home.
I really feel like I refound my running mojo last month and love being outdoors again. I even made the crazy decision to enter the ballot for next year’s London Marathon, which I submitted yesterday so fingers crossed I get through. Thank you, everyone, for your fantastic advice on marathon training on my and feeds.
There were lots of lovely meet-ups with our fantastic mummy friends and babies too. We all treated ourselves to brunch and I had this delicious Parisian breakfast. Going out for brunch is definitely my new thing!
Along with Aiden’s developmental leaps last month we also finally made a start on his nursery and built his beautiful Owlet cotbed. We’re struggling to get him to sleep in it at the moment so any advice on this transition would be incredibly helpful.
In other news, my blog was featured in last months Fit and Well magazine where they featured my Peanut Buttercup Protein Brownie recipe that you all seem to love. Also, my first article was published over on which I was grinning ear-to-ear about. I’ve got another article to contribute to their blog soon, so I’ll let you know when it goes live.

I wasn’t sure what to set as my word of the month for May, but I settled on some words instead: DREAM BIG. I think sometimes we’re restricted by the limitations that we put on ourselves and I’m going to try to dream big and then some. Sometimes we have the craziest ideas, but they are the best ideas and we are too scared to chase them because of how large they seem. This month is set to be a busy one for me with my first ever newsletter going out (you can sign up !) and I hope to have my recipe E-book that will be FREE to subscribers completed by the end of the month too, fingers crossed.
