I have a confession to make…I’m a stationery addict and I can’t help but buy pretty stationery.
On Monday I popped into town to run some errands and dived into Paperchase just to cheek out what they had on offer – it had been a while. Whilst getting crazy excited over all of the prettiness I spotted these gorgeous Rifle Paper Co. notebooks (there’s two in a pack) that I thought would look perfect on my desk. Indeed they do look beautiful. I haven’t actually used one yet, but they look great, that’s all that matters right?! I’ve always loved stationery ever since I was at school. I’m completely obsessed by it. I think I need help!
Other than indulging my stationery habit on Monday, when I woke up I and made my usual lemon and water drink, which I drank whilst catching up with emails and blogmin. I was feeling really hungry come breakfast time so with my green smoothie (spinach, banana, chia seeds, vanilla protein powder and almond milk) I toasted a slice of soda bread and topped it with butter and wild blueberry conserve:
I was feeling a bit peaky when I woke up and had a major headache, not ideal for a Monday morning. I thought may be I was dehydrated so I drank 2 glasses of water to help, but it didn’t work at all. Whilst out in town I drank some orange flavoured Lucozade. My mum used to give me a bottle every time I was ill when I was younger and it always made me feel better as it did on this occasion too. My headache was gone an hour or so after finishing the bottle, a pure miracle or what!?
When I got back home I made a lunch based on my current favourite salad – chicken and avocado. I also added mixed leaves, red onion, cucumber, tomatoes and topped it with humus. This salad always hits the spot for me right now, love it!
I took a break in my work later in the afternoon to fix myself a snack:
Last week I visited a health food shop and picked up some passion fruit curd, it tastes heavenly! I had some with some organic natural yoghurt and a packet of Californian almonds, which have a lovely distinctive taste. Really enjoying my almond snacks at the moment.
For dinner I made a super speedy vegetable casareece dish in a simple passata sauce with dried herbs and garlic and topped it with garlic and herb soft cheese. Considering that this was such a speedy dinner it tasted amazing. Alfie had essentially the same dish but with organic minced beef instead.
In the evening I settled down with bar of organic raw chocolate from Conscious. I love this brand of raw chocolate, it has such a silky smooth truffle like texture. If you are looking to experiment with raw chocolate and try your first bar then I highly recommend this brand.
Well that’s it for another WIAW post, quite a tasty day of food. I don’t know what it is about stationery, but I seriously have an addiction ever since my time at school. I used to love getting a new pencil-case at the start of the new autumn term and buying new bits for it – definitely the best part about starting a new school year if you ask me.
Do you have an addiction to stationery? What was your favourite thing about starting a new school year?
