Hey folk, I hope you are all fine and dandy this Sunday morning. I’m up quite early to get to my second hot yoga class this weekend, more on that in a moment. So far this weekend has been fantastic and full of things I love. The sun is shining right now so fingers crossed it’s going to get even better!
It was so quiet and peaceful early in the morning in town
Yesterday I headed into town quite early to get some things done before my yoga class, which included a leisurely breakfast at the :
They have a great selection of organic goods. I went for a delicious vanilla chai latte and croissant, whilst I read my book, bliss!
I finished up and got my eye brows threaded and had a wonder around the shops. I did end up picking up a small haul from Primark, which I’m going to share later this week. Afterwards I headed to my first hot yoga class at . There is so much to say about this class that I think I will save it for a separate post, but it was fantastic. I have never sweated so much in my entire life, my clothes were drenched afterwards, and I’m going back for more later.
When I got home I was feeling light headed after my hot yoga class, which is apparently normal. I think I must have chugged at least 3.5 litres of water yesterday to compensate for loosing all of that water through sweating. After showering I fixed myself some lunch.
I’ve been eating a lot of eggs recently so this salad was spot on. Mixed leaves, avocado, cherry tomatoes, 2 hard boiled eggs and a honey, mustard and herb dressing, yum!
Afterwards I headed out to so the food shopping…
…it was trying to rain outside but I still wanted to show off my lovely gladiator sandals, love these!
Once I had unpacked the shopping it was snack time.
Chopped apple, almond butter, sweet and salty popcorn
When I was I out I picked up some pea protein from Holland and Barratt. It’s been a while since I had used this stuff, you can read my thoughts on it here.
Since it’s very neutral in taste I decided to whip some Macadamia and Coconut Protein Truffles.
Holy yum, these are good! They are so simple to make too. Luckily I made quite a few as they are rather nourish and I got a bit carried away during my taste test. =)
For dinner I pan fried a whole sea bass and made a tarragon, lemon and butter sauce and served it with sweet potato wedges. I loved this dish and the lemon and tarragon worked really well together in the butter sauce.
My evening involved a movie and lots of dark chocolate for the win!
Looking back I managed to squeeze a lot of my favourite things into yesterday. Alfie’s on call all weekend, so I’m packing in all of the things that I love to still make it the perfect weekend in his absence. Obviously, I adore spending time with Alfie but sometimes it’s nice to just have some ‘me’ time.
