Well this week has been pretty incredible so far, let’s just say that things are looking up! J So much has happened this week that it looks like all of my plans are coming together nicely. It feels like everything is falling in to place…finally!
Like I was saying in Sunday’s post everything has been pretty hectic for me recently with lots going on all at the same time. Monday was a day off from work and even though there were things that needed to be done I put them to one side and decided to give myself a bit of a break.
I didn’t go to the gym early in the morning as I was waiting for our furniture delivery to arrive. We’ve bought some bedroom furniture to match our bed and a book case and coffee table for the living room. The house looks so different now, just a bit more accessorising to do and then it will all be done.
I had my morning ritual of warm water with lemon and a bowl of blueberries, strawberries with Greek yoghurt, maple syrup and crushed hazelnuts. Those fresh berries tasted fantastic!
Later in the morning I was feeling a bit peckish so I had a Pink Lady apple before the delivery men arrived. Once they had left I headed to the gym for a mix of HIITS and strength training. It was quite a random workout but I enjoyed it none the less.
I wore my new work out gear that I’ve been sent to review. Oh I love these so much! They are so comfy it’s unreal! I will do a full review later but they are so light it almost feels like you aren’t wearing anything. Ok, so maybe that’s a bit far-fetched but I’m sure you get the idea.
For lunch I made a sweet potato hash with kale and mushrooms served with 2 fried eggs that had super runny yolks. I had to ketchup too.
Then I spent the rest of the afternoon plating in the garden and catching up on some TV. I had a lovely slice of my Lemon and Almond Cake and green tea to keep me going until dinner. I’m so happy that I’ve got a huge slab of that cake saved in the freezer, yum!
Dinner was quite simple and very fast. I baked some chilli and lemon sardines in the oven and served them with curly lettuce and plantain. I love fresh food like this in warmer weather.
I was feeling a bit snacky in the evening so grabbed a bowl of frozen cherries and a few squares of dark chocolate with coconut to finish my day.
I’m really impressed with my new workout gear. It’s nice to not feel so restricted when working out. Comfort isn’t something that one would necessarily associate with working out, but I was very comfortable during Monday’s workout.
