It’s the start of a new month and a great time to review what I didn’t like about last month and what I want to change. Why should we wait til New Years Eve to set a yearly resolution that we find hard to achieve. I personally believe that we set out to do too much and become discouraged.
The lovely has inspired me set new personal goals for myself on the 1st of every month whether its related to work, fitness or whatever! This way I can break down my overall objective into bite-size chunks, which will make them more manageable and achievable. Big THANKS Lisa!!!
My resolutions for this month are…
1. To up my cardio to 50 minutes 6 times a week
I’ve been failing at this too often lately. I always get my mat work in, but the cardio has been neither here or there these past two weeks. I used to run 5 days a week, and finding it difficult to get used to not doing that, but now I am fully commiting myself to dance cardio!
2. Make more time for me
I’m always so busy with studying, running my house, and my part time job. Honestly, the only real time I have for myself is when I workout. These past few weeks have been a very busy time and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed with all the stress. Sometimes I just need to escape, even if it means just opening a book to read, baking or a pedicure. I think I deserve a little time out!
3. Smile when I see my reflection looking back at me
This is what God gave me to work with, so I’m going to learn to make piece with that and be happy about who I am and my appearance.
Do you get discouraged by New Years resolutions? What three goals would you set for yourself this month? What do you like to do to escape life’s stresses?
